This claw shade structure was built for a child care centre in commercial offices in Macquarie Park, Sydney. The claw structure features a single offset post mast and shade cloth fabric coverage. The claw spans a large space of 42sm.
Child Care Centres are required to provide shaded outdoor play areas for accreditation and this shade system is part of those requirements. Of interest, maximising shade coverage can qualify a child care centre for additional student enrollment numbers thus giving a centre positive financial incentive to installing shade structures. In the end however it is the health of the children and staff are given the proper priority.
