Two span shade structures of 20 x 20m each were installed for a Sydney Water treatment plant in Glenfield through CPB (ex Leightons Contractors). Shading was needed to reduce the level of tank contamination from algae, leaves and birds and improve the efficiency of pumps for treatment processing.
The neatness of the structures hide the intricacies of the shaping needed. Posts are fixed to tank walls. The structure includes access points.
