Central Hotel, Port Douglas

Abacus was commissioned to replace a complex large PVDF membrane roof fabric and steel cabling on an old damaged tensioned structure. The steelwork was in great condition. The new roof skin installation returned this tensioned membrane structure to an as new condition at the ever popular Central Hotel in Port Douglas.

The hospitality sector of North Queensland is an area of Australia where tensioned membrane structures are very popular. The weather is hot and wet and people love to be outdoors.
