Mt Druitt Hospital Aboriginal

Healing Garden

The shade sails in the grounds of Mt Druitt Hospital invite dialysis patients to sit and relax in the shade of the Aboriginal Healing Garden.

Sails were colour coded to the theme. Shadecloth colours represent the red and graphite in the aboriginal flag. The steelwork is painted a subtle dune colour to represent the open plains.

Culturally symbolic art from the Dreamtime completes the garden to evoke  a space of peace and healing.
