Ryde Skate Park

Three shade structures totalling 115sm were installed at a new skate park in Ryde, Sydney. The purpose of the project was to provide  aesthetics and functionality for playground users.

Architectural parameters for the shade structures included hexagonal shape to correspond to the hexagonal plan layout of the playground; pitch of 7 degrees and anti graffiti paint as part of frame treatment.

Ryde Council designed this skate playground with modern shade structures, gardens and expansive skate bowls to encourage outdoor recreation and support youth.
