St Bedes College, Mentone Victoria

Abacus Shade Structures undertakes interstate work. This large tensioned membrane structure was built for St Bedes College in Mentone Victoria. On this project we co-ordinated with interstate colleagues to deliver the project most effectively.

Being surrounded on three sides by dark buildings, over-shading was seen as a potential issue. The fabric in this Barrel Vault Structure needed to have a high translucency but still provide shade and be waterproof. With modern fabrics this was totally achievable.

The client obtained a product which achieved the weather protection and the light required.
